The Barrier Islands & Coastal Development Workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The workshop will be held online via Webex and is free to attend. Participants will learn about the unique ecological and geological characteristics of barrier islands. The workshop will cover the rules and policies that govern coastal development. Attendees will also receive updates on the National Flood Insurance Program and learn about native plantings for coastal landscapes.
